Without measuring equipment there cannot be sufficient quality control during the manufacturing of products. Measuring equipment includes a measuring standard, measuring device, software and reference material, or also other tools that can be used for the measuring process. It is also possible to use a combination of measuring equipment. Testing equipment is designed to test the measuring equipment and can be used independently of measuring equipment during the production process. Regulations, to which certain products are produced, are known to be used to adjust measuring equipment and test it.

This system allows for a product to be accurately replicated many times and to ensure efficient operation.
